I normally don't talk about politics, war, world crisis, celebrity gossips and whatsoever. Not that I don't care about it, I do but I just don't announce it. Everyone has their own opinion and some choose to express it; through their Facebook statuses, Twitter, blog post etc etc.
Well, if you are certain with your information, than you may as well go public. But seriously, how do you know for sure? Especially with the social media around us, its crazy how deceiving one story can be. If they can turn a student changing room into a toilet, how hard do you think they can twist a small info? You get my point? That is why I rather keep it to myself. Or you can say I don't know the politics. Lol The social medias really are very dangerous if one chooses to use it wrongly.
Anyway, the main point of this entry is this ...
Remember the Israel issue over the Islamic countries? Because of that, most people here in Malaysia decided to boycott the Israel products. They were all over the social medias. Then, people start to question,
"How is by boycotting their products help those innocents people from being murdered? I don't think so."
I'm not saying you should or shouldn't boycott. It's very subjective to everyone's point of view. To be honest, I didn't see the point too.
That brings us to today, I'm sure everyone knows about the rally that is going on in Egypt and all over Islamic countries. Millions of people have been killed due to that conflict. People have been sharing info and videos all over the social medias. Recently, people have been changing their display picture into this picture to show their support.

Again, the question pops
"How is by changing their display picture do any good to those Islamic countries? I don't think so"
I do read the articles and the info people share over the internet, and as a human being I do feel very sad for those people being murdered. I don't watch the videos tho, I don't have the heart to see how they were being tortured and murdered so cruelly. You can say I'm not brave enough. or coward the right word? Ish.
Let me share a true story that changed my perception a lil bit.. Recently, I shared the above picture on my timeline. Not long after, a friend of mine at work asked about it. My friend is a non-Muslim, fyi.
Friend : "What is that picture you shared on your Facebook? It's all over my News Feed too"
Me : "Ohh, its about this *bla bla bla* Egypt *bla bla bla* extreme rally *bla bla bla* Morsi *bla bla bla* killings..."
Friend : "Oh my god. That's terrible *bla bla bla* Pray for them *bla bla bla* God helps them *bla bla bla*.."
Still don't think so?
Now who says it leads to nothing? You see, it does lead to something. It does. It's like creating awareness.
When you say it with your mouth and mean it in your heart, it always counts as a prayer. And at this time around, they need all the prayers they can get to go through those pains, even from non Muslims.
Who knows whose prayer will be accepted?
Like I said, its very subjective. I just think that no one should be judgmental to one another. Don't call someone naive when they say they can't eat McDonald's. That's their choice.Vice verse, don't look at someone as a bad guy when they don't change their display picture (thank you hehe). Everyone has their own way, they just don't show it. How would you know if they cry their eyes out at night praying to God to help those innocents?
Exactly. You wouldn't know.
