Ever since my mum fell sick, she couldn't eat most of the food she usually eats. At least not until she is fully recovered. No more spicy food, oily food, no lime, nothing with vinegar, nothing sour, no oranges.....gosh, what left to eat then? Well, even if she could eat all that, she doesn't have any appetite to eat those at that moment. We keep feeding my mum with porridge and soup everyday for that first 2 weeks. That is why, when Nash came with banana and watermelon the other day, my mum was like Wahhh fruits..

She eats it just like that or she would dip the watermelon in a fresh milk. Looks like a cocktail but of course, alcohol free cocktail. I don't know if this recipe actually exist or my mum invent it herself; no idea. Bottom line, she likes the watermelon and she even asked me where did Nash got the fruits from.
"From where? Well, that ought to be a brilliant question. Umm from a grocery store..Mom"
"I know la grocery store. Which store exactly?" rolling her eyes appreciating my sarcasm. Hahaha
"Oh hahaha. I don't know. Why?"
"I like the watermelon he bought. It has no seeds."
That weekend when I met Nash, I told him that my mum liked the watermelon, that it has no seeds, and asked him where did he get the watermelon from.
"Haa the watermelon was nice right? Look who bought it " jeez, flatter himself much
"Whatevs. I'm asking you where did you get the watermelon from"
"Terer kan? I put my hands on the watermelon and I can feel that this one gotta be good " I know, such a drama-queen
"WHERE. DID. YOU. GET. THE. WATERMELON?" -_____-
"Hahaha. I stopped by the grocery store on the way to your house."
There! He doesn't even know the first thing how to choose a good fruit. Since my mum liked it, Nash wanted to buy some more fruits for me to bring home to my mum. Plus, there was Giant Hypermarket in the mall too, no fuss, quick and easy. There was no watermelon so Nash settled for grapes and honeydew. That'll do.

My mum smiled when I handed her the plastic bag. She right away asked my sister to rinse the fruits and put it in a plate. Haha. After few mins, she called me up and said "Pandainya Nash choose. This grape also has no seeds"
I just smiled and said "Oh okay la tu. Kan Umi suka" while really in my mind I was thinking whether or not should I tell Nash of what my mum said. Because, you know, he was already so flattered earlier that day. Hmm. Tell him? Tell him not? Hmm just tell la. My mum liked it anyway.
I phone him "Hey, my mum liked the fruits! The grapes don't have seeds too! It's weird, isn't it?"
"What's weird? It's me. It's my hand...my hand..bla bla bla..has its way to know good fruit...call me up..if you want to buy another fruit the next time...bla bla"
