It's been 3 weeks in this new company and I can say that I really enjoy the people I work with. It is a very friendly and fun atmosphere here and I actually enjoy going to work each morning. Woaahhh listen to myself, did I just say that I now enjoy waking up in the morning to go to work? Okay yeah not so much like what you think but I like it that I have a reason to get up! :)
I was in an engineering industry and to be shifting from that to a corporate world requires me a lot of personal motivation. With the politics nowadays and the gossips that go around, I have to really stay motivated in the present. That is one. Second, turn a complete deaf ear to these inconsequential details. Done and done! Hah!
Anyway, I'm still very new and still coping with everything. If you see me in the cafe, you would be able to tell. On my first week, the guy behind me had to put down her food he was holding because I took so long to figure out how to use my ID card to pay for my food. The other day, I queue for Fried Rice for 10 mins only to realize I was in a Chicken Chop line OH MY GOD I sure know how to embarrass myself *cries
Other than that, everything is going great.
I was talking to friends the other day..
Friend No 1 - Hey Azrah, how's your new job?
Me - It's going surprisingly good so far. Everyone is very welcoming.
Friend No 2 - Oh that's good. You don't feel left out.
Friend No 3 - So you must be an expert of all their products now.
Me - I have to know, yes.
Friend No 3 - Good, while we are on the subject, do you know why mine keep getting disconnected?
Me - Huh?
Friend No 2 - Oh ya me too! I sometimes get this pop up that says 'no signal'. Why eh?
Me - Guys, call the technical support la.
Friend No 1 - I have one issue with mine. My volume up/down sometimes don't show.
Me - How does that bother you? You can hear if the volume is increasing.
Friend No 2 - Oh oh oh, my hard drive. Sometimes, it goes to this screen that .... bla bla bla ...
Me - Guys guys! Call the technical support! Pffttt!
Okay NOT everything.
