For the past couple of weeks, I've been eating a lot and when I say a lot, I really mean A LOT. I repeat 'a lot' three times in one sentence, you should now get the amount.
It's still Raya month okay, don't blame my appetite. I have been attending openhouses, meeting up with friends over lunch and dinner because this is the month where everyone is in town to hang out, and then there's wedding ... okay now you get to blame my friends who just couldn't wait to get married, leaving me stranded in this single land. Now where's Nash?
I'm going off topic.
Continue. Ahem. *clears throat
So last Sunday, I was all over free food and drinks that I just eat anything I see. I had Nasi Minyak from a friend's wedding, one large cup of Tutti Fruity, then later that day I went to my neighbour's openhouse. I knew I was full but I can sometimes get very greedy when it comes to food, nothing stops me.
There was Chicken Satay, Sambal Ikan Bilis that looked super delicious, and the Fried Meehon looked so good too. Don't get me started on the Rendang and Nasi Impit, yumm! Now how do you walk away from good food? There's no way! And my neighbour kept coming to me with more food she took out from kitchen and nicely asked me to eat more,
" Makan la lagi, there's so many food. "
" This is nice. Have you tried this? "
" This one is nice too. Come on, try this. "
" Now this, you should really try! "
Okay I may have changed one or two of her words, hehe but that's totally how she sounded in my ear okayyyy so I'm saying, it's just rude to decline! Ngeee. She even packed some for me to bring back home! God bless my neighbour.
I gobbled everything down and wake up the next day with diarrhea and nausea. The cherry on top of it is, I had a meeting at 9 o'clock in the morning which I was late for. Towards the end of the meeting I just couldn't hold it anymore ..
Lesson learned.
Raya month is almost over and I am back to eat in moderation. My stomach needs to breathe too, therefore I'm giving it some time alone.
