I don't watch TV. Not because I'm a nerd, no no, it's because my sisters conquer the living room. ALL THE TIME. When I'm watching the Supernatural series, they wanna watch the Super Spontan show on Mustika. When I wanna watch CSI on Hallmark Channel, they are watching Akademi Fantasia on Ria. If I grab the remote and change the channel, they'll keep screaming till I give up. Sometimes when I have my patience and just ignore their screaming, they'd bring it up to the master where they know I couldn't win " Umiiii, KAKNGAH TAKNAK BAGI REMOTE !!!!! UMIII !!!!!! ". Master of the house - my mom. I lost. *walks to my room and locks myself up the whole night.
You see, that has been the situation since my sisters existed in this world. Should have told my mom to stop when she already had 2 kids 24years ago. Bahahaha! Because of this bully situation on me, I've decided to lose the TV and build a new relationship with my laptop. I have been so attached with my laptop since forever and honestly, I couldn't survive a day with my laptop. Really! I eat with my laptop, I sleep with my laptop, everyday of my life.
Anyway, since 2 of my sisters are off to university and hostel this year, and my mom isn't back from Indonesia yet, my youngest sister, Ucu gets bored at home with my cousin, Della. You no fun, Della. Haha! Therefore, she always calls up her one fun sister from the room *ahem me, to play with her or teman her watch TV in the living room.
There was this one night, she made me teman her watching Maharaja Lawak Mega. It was supposed to be a funny show but since I don't know most of the contestants, I keep asking her questions the entire show...
Host calls up next contestant to perform.
Me : " Who's that guy? "
Ucu: " That's Din from Raja Lawak 5 "
Me : " Why didn't I recognize him? "
Ucu: " Because you didn't watch Raja Lawak 5 "
Me: " Oh "
We keep watching. When they finish performing, the judges will comment on it. I can't help but notice the judges.
Me : " Eh, that's the Indonesian actress. What is her name? "
Ucu: " That's Luna Maya "
Me: " Eh yeke? She looks different. Are you sure? "
Ucu: " Iye la, sure! Now shhh, I'm watching. "
Me: " Eh Nora Danish is one of the judges too. What is she doing at a comedian show? "
Ucu: "Because, SUKA HATI diorang la! Kak, shhhhh shaddap "
Hahaha my sister is getting annoyed with my questions. Then later comes Jambu, one of the group contestants and this one I recognized from last year's show.
Me: " Haaa Jambu! Yang ni akak kenal ! "
Ucu: *silence
We keep watching. Suddenly, Ucu laughs so hard at their joke but I don't get it.
Me: " What's that? I don't understand "
Ucu: *ignore me and keep watching
Me: " What? what? What's so funny? "
Ucu: " You won't understand, it's a continuation from their last week's joke "
Me: " What is it about? "
Ucu: " Wait, wait shhh I'm watching "
Me: " What? What? Alaaa, what was it about? "
Ucu reaches for the TV remote furiously and shuts down the TV! Turn to me and said " Now what do you want to know? And please please, this is the last time you watch Maharaja Lawak with me! "
