casual friday

Just the other day at work, I saw someone wearing short pants and tank top that looks like something you wear when you go to sleep. I swear!

It's office environment you guys, how more casual can you go? I don't think Casual Fridays is an excuse for you to wear hot pants to work. Otherwise, it would have been called Sloppy Fridays!

I was experimenting the indie fashion, can you tell? It would have looked better with some vintage jeans and flower headband.

I personally admire Indie fashion, it is drawn to a whole different directions, outside the trends. That is why the Indie fashion accepts floral, breezy blouses, the 80's dresses, leggings for both women and men, wigs, sneakers, bright colors, hats and Victorian clothes any other authentic pieces that make a statement and give individuality to the wearer.

Unfortunately, this style is more common in the Western than here in the East. So if I walk down the KL area by the street looking like this ....

I'm so gonna get eyes staring at me up down left right. Forget about people, my mom will give me one of her why-didn't-you-wear-pants flying kick up my butt. I did wear, mom. You did? Why is it so short?!!

Ok, just kidding. This top on the left picture could go with long vintage jeans and the right picture could go with loose floral loose blouse too. See, this style is so unique that it doesn't follow the imposed directions of fashion magazines. You just have to be careful that you don't overdress or else you will look like you are drowning in your blouse. Experiment it one at a time okay, like I did here. Hehe. Let's see what happens next on my 2nd try.

I like Indie style because I know I could never pull those style like hippy, punk, beatnik, glam rock, funk, or even that skinhead techno kind of style, and Indie is a subculture style like all of them but somewhat more cultural because it mixes and creates new looks based on all of them.

It shows attitude and very sophisticated. Always always go sophisticated, girls.
