TalkDozen: spring cleaning

This is what happened in my room on last Sunday afternoon.

Spring cleaning!

How do you know if its the time to spring clean your room yet? When you cant find a space on your table or even your room cabinet to put your watch on, that you had to put it on your bed, and then later after you take shower you cant find it because it is suffocated in between your clothes. This is when you must do a spring cleaning.

I'm just saying. That's not my room's condition. Ahem! Moving on ....

When I spring clean my room, I'll do one section by one section. Its easier like that. Okay let's go through it.

Rule No. 1

Get everything off the floor. Make sure you wipe every single thing to get rid of the dust. Don't touch your closet yet. Close the door tight. Don't let your clothes breathe dust.

I never knew my small room could fit all these things. I should consider garage sale my stuffs.

Rule No. 2

Get everything off the shelves too. Wipe off the dust. Still, do not touch the closet. Not yet.

Rule No. 3

When you finally get everything off the floor, now its time to clean it. Sweep & mop. Very important.

Rule No. 4

Now that your floor is all cleaned up and shiny, you may open you closet now. Take out all clothes. Dust off the shelves. Set aside clothes you know you won't wear anymore. Actually, set aside your ego, you know you can't fit into the clothes anymore.

Sobs sobs ... this is goodbye, isn't it? Bye bye to you, clothes-that-I-can't-fit-into-anymore & my teen-clothes-that-I-no-longer-wear.

Rule No. 5

Your shoes. Yo girls, I know you keep your shoes in your room. So keep it organized. Get it out of your shoe box. Yeap, the brand new heels you bought months ago but still haven't used it once!

Oh I'm forgetting something very important. Girls, clean up your another shoe storage ... you know, your car boot.

See these two floral flats? This is either the shop offers Buy 1 free 1 promo that I had to choose another identical shoe or I couldn't decide between two colors. And as you can see, the red one is still untouched. Sheesh!

Whilst my floral flats are having a sweet time relaxing in the box, my blue flat has been exhausted having to go to work with me almost every day for months. See those nails? I even got it repaired by a cobbler because I love the shoes too much to just throw it away. It is so comfy.

Rule No. 6

Learn to love your handbags. No, let me rephrase. Value your handbags! Don't just dump your old handbag at the back of your closet. Get a shelve and arrange it nicely. Keep it neat. When you take good care of it, you might as well sell it back for a good cash if you really do not need it anymore.

Bad example. *runs to Tesco to buy*

Rule No. 7

Keep yourself focused. Stop reminiscing the past every time you found old pictures or even university stuffs. Because urghhhh you take forever ...

Awww this was my final year project. Awww do you know when I was doing this I had to go through so many thing like there was this one time I had to go to a different faculty because bla bla bla .... See my point? So, no. Don't start reminiscing. Not till you finish your cleaning!

I'm done with my spring cleaning! Well, with the help of my 2 sisters which in return I have to belanja them a cake .... one whole cake for each one of them.
