kan cheong

I recently learned the word "kan cheong" from a friend.

Kan cheong (khan chee-ong) is a Cantonese and Hokkien term meaning nervous, worries, harried or uptight.

I've been using the word very often lately, I use it in my sentence whichever I feel fit. Apparently I found the word very catchy and slick (for some reason haha).  Unfortunately, my friends didn't. They no fun.

My friend freaked out that she missed this task she was supposed to do.
Friend : Oh my god I completely forgot about this!
Me : Don't worry nothing to be kan cheong about, you still have tomorrow.

My girlfriend showed up late for lunch and I wanted to make her feel guilty. Not working.
Me : Dudeee you're 10mins late.
Friend : Don't be so ...
Me : Kan cheong?

My friend was telling me about this client she has and I thought I would cheer her up hehe
Friend : My client today bla bla .. it should have been bla bla bla ... urghh!
Me : Urgh! So kan cheong!
Friend : ......

I walk up to my friend, wanted to say Hi but instead ..
Me : Kan cheong!
Friend : ........ dude, enough with the word

I was telling the word to another friend and everyone else just turned to me and gave me a death stare. Don't-you-dare-intro-the-word-to-her kinda stare, you know. Haha!
Me : So till when do I get to use this kan cheong word before it gets annoying?
Friend : Till yesterday.

Fine, I'll stop. It's just a word. You guys are so ... kan cheong!

Oops, last one.
