Gold Olympus & Red Canon in memory

Whether or not you can shoot well, doesn't matter. Everyone needs a camera. Let it be digital or kodak, DSLR or camera phone, life wouldn't be complete without old pictures when you are old reminiscing the past.

I remember couple of years ago my family used to own Olympus mju II gold.

This old thing has served my family for a long time. He wasn't a servant, he was family to us until...he decided to rebel a day before my graduation day. Before my graduation day! MY GRADUATION!

We have been treating you well, taking you with us everywhere we go, and this is how you repay us.

Because of that, most of my graduation pictures were blurry.

Don't think this is the worst. Look at below picture, whatever happened to my eyes? I looked like a vampire. Not the pretty vampire Edward with sparkling body, but an ugly vampire with sparkling eyes.

I was so upset looking at all my graduation pictures I could just cry. This was supposed to be my most memorable day, so when I am 40, I would look into my young photos and tear in smile. Now look at what my gold Olympus has done to me. Such ungrateful, you.

I spent RM120k and waited 4 years for this day and all I get in return were some blurry pictures. Tsk tsk..

I couldn't sit right looking at the disaster my camera did to me, so I knew I had to do something. I plotted my revenge for months, and finally...

I bought myself a new one! Got a great bargain on this one from Digital Fair.

Now that I have this, I realized I shouldn't be that mad to my old gold Olympus. Maybe he was old and it was the time for him to rest and have some time to himself. He was after all, has been a good camera to me.

So I sit down and slowly told him that I was sorry and it was okay to ruin my big day. It was just RM120k and I only waited 4 years for that day, so yeahh, no big deal. I told him I now have Red Canon so no moments will be ruined NO MORE!!

Gold Olympus right away hated the new Red Canon and ran away sulking in the dustbin didn't wanna come out. Poor you. Anyway, may you rest in peace.

Now my world is a cheerful place again. Me and my family was living our life happily with Red Conan, taking pictures of us on vacations, of friends, beautiful scenery, mountains, leaves, girl's private wear weirdly found in the middle of the road, etc etc. I was a happy girl until.....my mum went to Indonesia last month and left Red Canon over there.

-______-

Sigh. If it was my sister I sure would have given her how-dare-you-left-my-camera-there look! But it was my mum. Sigh Moms. So, I could only give her what-did-you-just-say look follow with "It's okay Mom. It's just a camera. I'll get a new one".

So, I can assume the Red Conan is now gone...to someone else or probably resting in peace with my old Gold Olympus. Oh no, that is why! Gold Olympus really hated Red Conan. And now Red Conan is gone too. ( I sound so bimbotic )

Since then, I have been using my Iphone to take pictures. The quality is okay and it comes in handy because I always have my Iphone with me but...I still want a camera to myself.

I am not a photographer so I don't need those huge DSLR cameras. I will bring my camera everywhere with me so I need it to be compact and portable. I need it ready to capture so please, not too many functions and settings. It will be easy to use which also provides excellent quality image or at least better than a good smartphone, or else there is no point buying.

Hmm. I wonder what camera should I get?

Psssttt ... my dear Gold Olympus, please don't hate the next one too.
