Chapped lips, anyone?

What do you think of Angelina Jolie lips?

Sexy? Not sexy?

Yeah yeah whatever I'm not the biggest fan of her. I'm just jealous that her lips look so moist and shiny all the time. I know that those pictures in the magazines are all airbrushed and edited, but isn't that every girl's dream to have that kind of lips?

Okay I'm being dramatic here. It's just that, I have a small issue with my lips. I have a very sensitive lips to the extend that it will dry out when the weather changes, either too cold or too hot, I can't simply wear any lipstick because it will get my lips chapped badly, heck I don't wear any lipstick ever, and off course when I forgot to drink enough water, etc etc.

I am aware that my skin has always been sensitive but it was controllable. I just needed to apply body lotion at night, drink enough water, get enough sleep, do weekly exercise.....Oh crap, I should have practiced all these! Well, I'm a busy woman alright, I don't have all the sweet time in the world to do all these. Who am I kidding? I'm just plain lazy. I will apply the body lotion when I feel my skin is starting to dry out. Use the lip balm when my lips starting to crack. It usually works for me.

Well, ever since I started working (been 2 years), my skin has been exposed to air-condition for at least 10 hours every day. No good for my skin. So, the apply-when-you-feel-your-skin-started-screaming-method is no more applicable. Because of that, I gotta keep a body lotion at my work desk in case I need it any time any day. That does it. But a different story for my lips. 

My lips dried out badly and unfortunate for me that I have a very itchy fingers keep peeling the chapped skin on my lips. *Slaps fingers* Sometimes it bleeds, which made it even worst and hurtful. You know how they say "Smile is the best medicine?" Yeahh, my smile was gonna give someone an instant death.

I had to look for a good lip balm to keep my lips moist and shiny like Angelina Jolie. I tried few kinds of lip balms.

I used this before. It was so pretty and glossy on my lips. I liked the color but it doesn't solve my dryness issue. Well, this was never meant for it I just wanted a glossy lips. Haha

Later on, I tried this one. Its white but once it is on your lips it will change into the color of your lips. Or, so it says. I think its bullshit, because it turns my lips into ridiculously pink. It is so not my lips color. I don't like it because it dries very fast and leave the pink color that makes me looks like I just ate a monster candy.

There were some other too that I don't remember. I even tried the Vaseline.

Actually I really liked this one. It has petroleum Jelly that helps the dryness. It stays longer on the lips which keeps it moist and shiny. I almost got the Angelina Jolie lips until my mom took my Vaseline and apply it on her dried foot. FOOT.

" It's okay Mom. You can have it. I don't need it anymore "

See, I would have looked like Angelina Jolie by now if it wasn't for my mom. Haha. Anyway, I wanted to buy a new one but there was one thing I don't like about the Vaseline if you ask me. It's in a bottle, therefore my finger gets dirty every time I want to apply it. 

So I thought, I would try something else. Hmm, by this point writing this post, it hit me that was I really looking for the good one or was I just wanted to try all kinds of lip products? I'm confused. Haha!

Anyway, I found it ! I found the perfect answer to my problem !

Nivea Lip Balm! Okay I can't say perfect, but somehow, I don't have a chapped lips anymore. I'm using the Fruity Shine Pink Guava. It has color but not too bright, which is just nice for me. I think I wanna buy the light pink too. I have been using for 2 months now and yea, I know, I know, too early to tell. Don't worry this Nivea lip balm is still on a probation period of 4 more months. Pretty standard. Let's see if it hits the KPi.

But for now, I'm a happy girl :)
