HIMYM season 9

Is it just me or HIMYM season 9 kicked off a very plain and boring 4 episodes. As a die hard fan of the series, I find it very disappointing.

I really loved this show because of the funny adventures of the five friends. Each episode never failed to crack me with their jokes; Barney Stinson awesomeness, Robin toughness and her daddy issues, Marshmallow Lilypad's cute and adorable love, Ted's journey finding the true love.

But now, the show is only concentrated on their love life. Barney and Robin no good love story no more wait for it, Marshall and Lily a clingy parent and their move to Rome, and of course Ted's never ending journey finding the women of his life used to be adventurous and a lot of fun, now just sad and teary for the same reason.

Let's walk through these few episodes of Season 9 :

Lily is depressed that Marshall wouldn't make it to the wedding in time so she gets Linus to refill her with gin and tonic all the time. I find this as a distraction to the main story going on which is Lily and Ted's conversation.

Robin and Barney were hiding from their older relatives. Their scene of this whole episode was trying to get away from the relatives. Thats all. Bored to death.

Lily and Robin destroys a 60 year old bottle of Glen McKenna Scotch that Ted was saving for the wedding. To hide this fact, they use the remainder of the Glen McKenna and a mixture of cheaper alcohol, chocolate syrup, ketchup, and hand sanitizer. There was a sword fight in between them before they destroy the scotch, which I already felt so draggy and then they added this scene. Yawn.

Lily forces Ted to wear a ridiculous outfit as a punishment for the destruction of her dress. Out of nowhere.

Marshall was being punished too. In the middle of his way back to the city.

I mean, this is what being passed as a joke now? Come on, you're better than this!

I can't wait for this show to end. For Godsake its been 9 seasons. I never missed an episode and I wouldn't miss it now even if it's drop dead bored. See, you have a true fan here. So come one, surprise me!
